DHAKA: Investors witnessed negligible gain in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 21 points to stand at 4,111 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

The volume of transactions stood Tk 3,901 million with 107,008 trade deals.
 
Of the issues traded, 127 advanced, 138 declined and 19 remained unchanged.

UCBL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 140 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BEXIMCO, IFIC, GENNEXT, HEIDELBCEM, TITASGAS, ARGONDENIM, ENVOYTEX, CITYBANK and ACTIVEFINE.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,008 by gaining over 8 points.

Out of the issues traded, 84 gained, 117 declined and 15 remained unchanged.
