DHAKA: Finance Minister AMA Muhith said Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) can carry out investigation into the sources of wealth of ministers and lawmakers whose wealth has increased abnormally in last five years.

Muhith made the comment while talking to journalists after submission of his tax return by online system at secretariat on Tuesday.

He said, “ACC can probe into the sources of the wealth of ministers and lawmakers whose wealth has increased oddly in last five years.”

National Board of Revenue (NBR) also may scrutinize the matter, he added.

The minister claimed some newspapers published news about my wealth which is ‘bad story’.   

Muhith described his wealth statement to the journalists at that time.
