The gold price in the local market has jumped by Tk 1,166 to Tk 1,09,291 per bhori.

Besides, the price of silver has also increased by Tk 385 to Tk 2,099 per bhori.

The standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) made the decision at a meeting held on Monday (December 18).

The price of 22-carat gold is now 1,09,291 per bhori while it is Tk 1,04,334 for 21-carat said a press release signed by Committee chairman Masudur Rahman.

The price of 18-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 89,404 per bhori while that of traditional gold at Tk 74,533 per bhori. The new tariffs come into effect on Tuesday, the release said.

The price of 22-carat silver is Tk 2,099 per bhori while 21-carat Tk 2,006 and the price is Tk 1,714 per bhori of 18-carat silver and Tk 1,283 for traditional one.
