Transactions of all banks will remain closed on Sunday (December 31) as it is the last day of 2023.

Bangladesh Bank informed the matter today (December 30).

No transactions or office activities are conducted with Bangladesh Bank or other bank customers during 'Bank Holiday' as per policy. 

There will also be no transactions at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) on the day.

As per that circular, during this period, the head offices and other necessary branches of banks can remain open.
