DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 19 points to stand at 4,286 at the close on the third trading day of the week as trading remained closed on Tuesday due to bank holiday.

Trade deals stood at 104,826 with transaction at Tk 4,119 million.

Of the issues traded, 165 advanced, 97 declined and 19 remained unchanged.
    
LANKABAFIN topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 225 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GOLDENSON, GENNEXT, RNSPIN, APOLOISPAT, FAMILYTEX, DELTALIFE, TALLUSPIN, MPETROLEUM and MERCANBANK.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,422 by gaining over 45 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 106 gained, 80 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
