DHAKA: Bangladesh Bank (BB) Thursday has directed all scheduled banks of 102 upazilas of 40 districts to keep open on Saturday after receiving request by the election commission.    

In this regard, the central bank issued a notification from its off-site supervision department.    

Earlier on Wednesday, the Election Commission (EC) asked the government to remain open the scheduled banks.  

The election commission took the initiative for pay-order, bank draft and postal order for upazila polls candidates.
