DHAKA: Anwar Ispat Limited, a leading steel maker of Bangladesh, signed an agreement with Kaltimex Energy Bangladesh (Pvt) Ltd on Wednesday, to set up a 14-MW gas based captive power plant in Gazipur.

Brigadier General (retd) Ferdous H Khan Corp Director of Anwar Group of Industries (AGI) and John V Jacob Director of Kaltimex Energy signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.

Kaltimex Energy Bangladesh (Pvt) Ltd is the local agent of MWM Gas Generator of Germany.

Managing Director of Anwar Group Manwar Hossain and other officials of Anwar Ispat and Kaltimex were among others present on the occasion.
