DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Tuesday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 50 points to stand at 3,814 at the close on the third trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 64,333 with transaction at Tk 1,888 million. Of the issues traded, 218 advanced, 22 declined and 16 remained unchanged.

ARGONDENIM topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 146 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were ENVOYTEX, DELTALIFE, BSCCL, BDBUILDING, MEGHNACEM, JMISMDL, ORIONPHARM, SQURPHARMA and BEXIMCO.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 7,462 by gaining over 101 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 161 gained, 23 declined and 17 remained unchanged.
