SSC results published: 91.34% pass

DHAKA: The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations were published Saturday morning with overall pass percentage of 91.34 which is 2.31 percent higher than last year’s. 

A total of 1,42,276 students had secured GPA-5.

Among the eight general boards, Rajshahi board topped the list in pass percentage, showing 96.34 percent success.  Dinajpur 93.26 percent pass, Dhaka 93.98, Sylhet Board posted 89.23, Chittagong 91.40, Comilla 89.92, Jessore 92.19, and Barisal 90.66.

This year, a total of 14,26,923 students under 10 educational boards took part in the examinations from 27,489 institutions and 13,00,331 students passed. 

At 10:00am, education minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gono Bhaban, the official residence of the premier.

Chairmen of education boards were also present during the time.

Later, the results are set to be published through a press conference at secretariat around 1:00pm.

Then, these will be sent to the schools and the school authorities will publish the results in afternoon, sources added.

The students will get the result at their respective institutions around 2:00pm.

Besides, the students can also know their results over mobile phone through sending SMS (Short Message Service ) in the following order:    

SSC/Dakhil first three letters of the board Roll No>16222.

On the other hand, the result also can be found on website. www.educationboardresults.gov.bd.

The exam was began on February 9 and ended on March 20.
