DHAKA: The government has set up an e-library on disaster management for providing information to individuals.

Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya MP inaugurated the e-library at secretariat on Wednesday.

This E-Library, www.dmic.org.bd/e-library, will work as an online platform to share and communicate, promote disaster management (DM) and climate change adaptation (CCA) content/materials generated by CDMP, Department Of Disaster Management(DDM) and other Government Agencies, UN Agencies, INGOs, NGOs, Research Organizations, individuals etc.

The platform encourages organizations and individuals to upload and share their developed contents on Disaster Management (DM).

It aims to benefit individuals and organizations working in the field of DM and CCA in Bangladesh and beyond. 

The site is featuring a clean and simple interface, this online service delivers intuitive navigation, enhanced discoverability, expanded functionalities and a range of search options.

Comprehensive Disaster Management Programme (CDMP II) supported the establishment of this E-Library under Disaster Management Information Center (DMIC) of the Department of Disaster Management, Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.
