DHAKA: The results of this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on August 13.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Thursday morning informed banglanews at his secretariat office.

Mentioning the ruling Awami League government is publishing results within 60-day after the examination, the minister said that August 15 is the 60th day for this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination.

“But, we are going to publish the result before the deadline,” he added.

However, sources said that Education Minister along with chairman of the education boards, will hand over the results to Prime Minister at her office earlier on August 13.

At that time, the PM Sheikh Hasina will talk with students of some colleges about different perspective.

Later, the results will be officially announced at a press conference at the Secretariat 1:00pm while it will be available at the respective colleges by 2:00pm.

A total of 1,141,374 students from 10 education boards appeared for this year examination which started on April 3 and finished on June 8 across the country.
