JESSORE: The authorities of Jessore Science and Technology University (JSTU) have decided to resume from August 18.

JSTU Public Relation Officer (PRO) Hayatuzzaman Mukul confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the decision came from an emergency meeting, chaired by vice-chancellor Professor Dr Abdus Sattar, after the Eid vacation.

Sheikh Hasina hall and Shahid Mashiur Rahman hall of the JSTU would be open on August 17.

The authorities urged cooperation from administration, politicians, journalists and others to make the environment of the university calm. 

The University was declared closed after the murder of a JSTU student Naimul Islam Riad on JULY 16.
