DHAKA: The decision on Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination, scheduled for Thursday, will be taken on Wednesday.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid was briefing journalists on Tuesday afternoon.

He said: “We still hope that the BNP-led 20-party alliance will withdraw the hartal considering the future of the examinees.”

The minister reiterated his call to withdraw hartal for the sake of the examinees who would lead the nation in the future.

Calling upon the 20-party alliance, Nahid also said the hartal should be relaxed at least two hours before and after of the examinations.

BNP-led 20-party alliance Tuesday extended ongoing countrywide hartal for 48-hour more.

As per new decision, the hartal will continue till 6:00am Friday.
