DHAKA: Police arrested cinema production house JAJ Multimedia Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sish Monowar from his Mohammadpur residence on Saturday morning.

Police arrested Monowar in the abduction case of JAJ Multimedia accountant Sajib, who was kidnapped on his way from home to office on April 26.

Mirpur Thana Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Salahuddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.

OC said, ‘After Sajib’s missing, his father Abdur Rahim filed a General Diary (GD) with Ramna Thana first. Since there had been no development, later Sajib’s father and wife Sanjida filed a case against Sish Monowar and some others of the office with Mirpur Thana.’

‘We arrested Sish Monowar on the ground,’ he added.

He further said, ‘Sish is sent to court and Sub-Inspector (SI) Qamrul Islam is assigned to investigate.’
