At least 15 more dengue patients died while 2,103 others were hospitalised in 24 hours till 8 am today (November 5), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Besides, this year a total of 1,408 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

A total of 279,904 were infected by the Dengue virus this year, according to the DGHS press release.

As many as 271,792 Dengue patients recovered this year.

According to DGHS, 6,704 dengue patients were undergoing treatment at different hospitals across the country.

Last year, a total of 281 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh. However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered last year.
