At least seven more dengue patients died while 877 others were hospitalised in 24 hours till 8 am today (November 30), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 144 dengue patients were admitted in Dhaka while 733 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital, said the DGHS release.

Besides, this year a total of 1, 622 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

A total of 3,11,891 were infected by the Dengue virus this year. Of them, 1,07,836 were in Dhaka and 2,04,055 were outside of the capital, according to the DGHS press release.

As many as 3,06,790 Dengue patients recovered this year. Of them, 1,05,991 were released from hospitals in Dhaka while 2,00,799 others left hospitals outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 908 patients are now undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 2,571 patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Last year, a total of 281 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh. However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered last year.
