Nine killed at Mexican drug addiction center

MEXICO CITY - Nine people have been killed and other nine have been wounded when gunmen attacked a drug rehabilitation center in Northern Mexico, authorities said.

The officials said the attack occurred late Saturday in the city of Gomez Palacio, in Durango state.

All the victims, which included the owner of the center, were male, according to the announcement made by the local prosecutor`s office.

The motive of the crime is under investigation.

A similar drug rehabilitation center was attacked earlier this month in the state of Chihuahua. Nineteen people were killed there.
