Complaint filed as Priyanka Gandhi manhandled

A complaint has been filed in the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) regarding the alleged manhandling of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra by Uttar Pradesh police in Lucknow on Saturday.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday alleged that she was strangulated by a UP policewoman while on her way to meet the family of former IPS officer SR Darapuri and was also pushed due to which she fell down.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also alleged that the Yogi Adityanath government supported the actions of the Uttar Pradesh Police against her when she was stopped from meeting ex-IPS officer SR Darapuri's family members and also manhandled by the cops in Lucknow on Saturday.

Speaking exclusively to India Today TV, Priyanka Gandhi said she was manhandled by Uttar Pradesh Police personnel who also grabbed her by her throat and pushed her when she resisted their attempts to stop her from visiting the house of retired IPS officer SR Darapuri.
