India has reported 216,919 cases and 6,088 deaths from coronavirus till Thursday, according to latest data from worldometer.

However, 104,107 COVID-19 patients have recovered while 106,724 are active cases in the country.

India on Thursday recorded 9,304 new cases of coronavirus disease Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the update posted on the Union heath ministry website.

Maharashtra is the badly-hit state of the country by the coronavirus.

India is the seventh worst-hit nation by the Covid-19 pandemic after the US, Brazil, Russia, the UK, Spain and Italy.

A total of 65,86,010 people have been infected and 31,81,180 people have recovered worldwide from the disease, according to latest data from worldometer.

A total of 213 countries and territories and two international conveyances have been infected in the deadly disease.

The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
