People gathered outside the Chinese Consulate in Vancouver on March 7 to protest against China on several issues.
The protest was organized by 'Friends of Canada India' along with Canada Tibet Canada, East Turkistan Association of Canada, Friends of Canada India Organization, Global Pinoy Diaspora Canada, Vancouver Society of Freedom, Democracy & Human Rights for China, Vancouver Society in Support of Democratic Movement (VSSDM), Vancouverites Concerned About Hong Kong, Vancouver Uyghur Association, Thai Democratic movement in Canada and The Alliance of the Guard of Canadian Values.

The protesters were holding banners like "No to Communist China's unconstitutional National Security Law for Hong Kong," "Beijing Lied, People Died" and "Say no to totalitarianism". They were carrying signs, some that read “Say no to totalitarianism,” and “Free Hong Kong. Free Tibet. Free Uyghurs. Resist Tyranny.”
According to the organisers, it was a successful protest. Only 50 people were allowed due to COVID-19 but more than 300 people showed up.
