Tawny Nude Lip

A nude lip has the amazing ability to stand out and blend in all at the same time, but finding your perfect hue can be tricky.

Lighter colours run the risk of looking chalky, while darker hues can look dated. At the Hollywood Black Film Festival, American actress Jordin Sparks mastered the effect by choosing a tawny nude gloss.

To easily find your perfect shade of nude, use the colour of your inner lip as a reference, and veer no more than two hues lighter or darker.

The product you choose should be a more-saturated version of your natural lip colour.

If you can’t find an exact match or are worried you’ll look washed out, swipe on a layer of gloss with a slight pink tint to add warmth.

A hint of gloss gives off a more casual vibe than a matte lip, and effect is flattering against smoky eyes and minimalist makeup looks alike, says InStyle.
