KURIGRAM: A leader of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) was killed in road accident in Ananda Bazar area of the district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Khairul Kabir Jewel, 25, joint general secretary of district unit of JCD.

Local sources said a power tiller trolley crashed into Jewel’s motorcycle in the area at around 10:30, while he was going to his village home in Razarhat upazila of the district, leaving him injured critically.

Later, he was rushed to Kurigram Sadar Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

Hospital’s residential medical officer Nazrul Islam confirmed the death news to banglanews.

District BNP and its associate organizations condoled at the death of JCD leader.
