TANGAIL: Ruling Awami League lawmaker Shawkat Momen Shahjahan from Tangail-8 (Sakhipur-Basail) constituency breathed his last at the Upazila Health Complex early Monday. He was 67.

Officer-in-Charge-of Sakhipur Thana Mokhlesur Rahman told banglanews that the relatives of Shawkat Momen Shahjahan MP rushed him to Upazila Health Complex as he suddenly felt a severe pain in his chest in the morning where on duty doctor declared him dead.

He was elected as an MP from Tangail-8 constituency in 2009 and in 2014.
