MANIKGANJ: The ferry services on Paturia-Daulatia river route resumed Monday morning after two hours disruption due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.
Sources said the authority has resumed the ferry services from 7:30am to avoid accident.
Confirming the matter, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC)’s Paturia Ferry Ghat Assistant Manager (commercial) Mahiuddin Russell told banglanews, “The ferry services resumed as the fog cleared.”
Earlier in the day due to the fog, two large size Ro-Ro ferries and two K-type ferries got stuck in the middle of the river.
