GAIBANDHA: Law enforcers held 11 people from Sarbananda Union under Sundarganj Upazila of the district on Monday night for their alleged involvement in attack on police.

Confirming the matter, Sundarganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Mozammel Haque told banglanews, “The detainees are activists of Jamaat-Shibir who were involved in various subversive activities including attacking law enforcers.”

On Saturday, at least 50 people including 22 policemen were injured in a clash between cops and Jamaat-Shibir men when they went to Khanabari village of the union to detain the accused of four-murder and many subversive activities.
