DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Benzir Ahmed on Thursday said that cyber crimes have increased in the country in recent times.

He came up with the assertion while addressing a workshop at capital’s hotel Sonargoan arranged by Insight Bangladesh Foundation.

The DMP boss also said that there are around 3.5 crores internet users in the country and amongst them 33 Lakh are facebook users. Criminals target the youths and involve them in cyber crime.

Benzir Ahmed also said that now it’s necessary for police forces to take training on advance technology.
