NETROKONA: A district court on Thursday awarded lifetime imprisonment to three people for their involvement in a killing case.

District Additional Session Judge Abdul Hamid passed the order at around 11:00am.

The court also fined Tk 20,000 each. On default, the convicted have to serve one year more jail term.

The convicts are- Shahin Khan, 40, son of Sundar Khan, Jahangir, 38, son of late Akbar and Nabi Hossain, 25, son of Abdur Rahim.

According to the case statement, the convicts killed Mozammel, 12 and dumped the body into a river on June 9, 2001.

Later, the father of the victim filed a case against them people on February 11, 2002.

On June 27 in 2003, after investigation, police submitted charge-sheet over the case.

The case issued the verdict as the complaint against them was proved.
