RANGAMATI: An activist of United Peoples Democratic Front (UPDF) was shot to death by miscreants in Naniyachar Upazila of the district on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Santos Chakma, 25.

Sources said that the man succumbed to his injuries at a private clinic of Chittagong around 11:30pm.

Earlier on Friday evening, three UPDF men including Kanti Chakma and Jibon Chakma sustained bullet injuries as miscreants opened fire around 7:30pm, leaving Santos Chakma critically injured.

UPDF Spokesperson Michel Chakma confirmed the matter to banglanews.
