The Press Wing of the Chief Advisor's Office has debunked a recent Zee News report titled "DNA Exclusive: Operation Octopus of Muhammad Yunus in Bangladesh," as entirely false and fabricated.

The press wing said in a statement posted on its verified Facebook page - CA Press Wing Facts - yesterday. 

It claimed that the news item was a part of a well-calibrated propaganda campaign launched by the Indian media against the Professor Yunus-led interim government of Bangladesh.

The statement strongly denied all claims made in the report and urged the public to disregard such misinformation aimed at destabilizing Bangladesh.

According to the Press Wing, Professor Yunus had invited Indian media to visit Bangladesh and report from the ground after assuming leadership of the interim government. 

However, some major Indian outlets declined the invitation and instead relied on unnamed sources to create stories, the statement added.
