Two people were killed, and one injured when a motorbike crashed into the rear of a sand-laden truck this morning in Haluaghat. 

The deceased have been identified as Al Aksha, 28, from Dapunia, Mymensingh, and Shakil, 26, from Gohailkandi.

Officer in Charge (OC) M Abul Khayer of Haluaghat Police Station, confirmed the matter.

According to him, the accident occurred near the upazila Fire Services and Civil Defense office when the motorbike, traveling at high speed, collided with the stationary truck, leaving two victims dead on the spot. 

A rescue team from the Haluaghat Fire Service quickly arrived at the scene, recovering the bodies and transporting the injured third person to the Haluaghat Upazila Health Complex for treatment.
