Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is scheduled to visit Dhaka on a two-day official trip starting April 27.
Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen disclosed the matter during a media briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday (April 17) following a bilateral meeting between the foreign secretaries of Bangladesh and Pakistan.
The foreign secretary-level talks were held at the Padma State Guest House in Dhaka.
Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen led the Bangladesh delegation, while his Pakistani counterpart Amna Baloch represented Islamabad.
During the briefing, Masud Bin Momen confirmed that Ishaq Dar will visit Dhaka on April 27 and 28.
On Thursday, Pakistani Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch also met Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain and paid a courtesy call on Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.
Amna Baloch arrived in Dhaka on Wednesday to attend the foreign secretary-level talks. This was the first such meeting between the two countries in 15 years.
The last session took place in Islamabad in November 2010.
