DHAKA: An unidentified youth was run over by a train in capital’s Banani area on Saturday morning.

Police sources said that a train knocked the youth while he was walking on the rail track in the area around 10:00am, leaving him critically injured.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead.

His body was kept in the hospital morgue for autopsy.

Sub-Inspector of Banani Thana Harun-ur-Rashid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
