BANDARBAN: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members detained two smugglers with 14, 000 pieces Yaba tablet on Thursday night from Nikhonchhari upazila of the district.

The detainees are Ismail Hossain, 36 and Anwar Hossain 14, hailed from Pallan Para village under Teknaf upazila of Cox’s bazar district.         

BGB-31 Commander Lieutenant Col Shafiqul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.     

“Acting on tip-off BGB members seized the huge amount of Yaba and arrested two people from Chakdala Junior High School area under the upazila around 8:30pm,” he added.
