DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday gave directive providing posting of doctor-couple in the same area on priority basis.

The premier came up with the decision in regular cabinet meeting.

Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, asked the authorities concerned in this regard.

A minister, after the meeting, told banglanews that industries minister Tofail Ahmed proposed the matter in the meeting after describing some common problems of living separately of the couple.

In the meeting, premier said it is a sensitive issue, but the matter could be considered given that there is a vacancy in the area.
