DHAKA: A pregnant lady was killed in Adabar area of the capital on Tuesday after being knocked down by a motorcycle.

The deceased was identified as Mamataz Begum, 35, wife of one Mizanur Rahman, resident of Mehedibagh area of Adabar.

Her daughter 7-year old daughter Jui was also injured at that time.

Deceased’s husband told banglanews a rashly driven bike knocked down her wife and daughter while going to the doctor’s chamber, leaving them injured critically.

The injured were rushed to Suhrwardi Hospital and later were transferred to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on duty doctors declared Mamtaz dead, he added.
