A Dhaka court today (July 17) placed seven people including the former president of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) Kazi Rawnakul Islam Srabon on two-day remand each in a case lodged over the alleged seizure of sticks and cocktails from BNP's Naya Paltan central office last night.

The other remanded accused are - Md Nazrul Islam, Md Imam Hossain, Md Shahdat Hossain, Md Tinu, Md Monir Hossain, and Barkat Hawlader.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Shanto Islam Mallik passed the order as police produced the accused before the court and pleaded to place them on five-day remand each.

Police filed the case against 26 people including Srabon and 200-300 more unnamed people over the seizure that took place last night.
