DHAKA: BNP joint secretary general M Shahjahan was released on bail from the Dhaka Central Jail Part-1 (Kashimpur) on Friday afternoon.

Jailer of Kashimpur Faridur Rahman Rubel confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He further said they scrutinized the papers sent from the court regarding the bail release of M Shahjahan and released him.

In the night of January 12, a team of RAB-1 detained Shahjahan from Gulshan area in city on charge of conspiring against the government.
