Police conducts search at Khaleda’s Gulshan office

DHAKA: Police on early Saturday (May 20) carried out a search at Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office, to check whether there was any evidence or document of seditious activities.

Gulshan police station officer-in-charge (OC) Abu Bakar Siddique confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

The OC further said that the law enforcers started the search since 7:30 am, following a search-warrant directed by the court.

However, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi reached Khaleda’s Gulshan office at around 8:30 am, said BNP Press wing official Shairul Kabir Khan.

Shairul Kabir Khan told Banglanews that he can not say details regarding the matter immediately.

However, he further said that only the office assistants were in the office at the night.
