Bangladesh Women defeated Ireland by 5 wickets in the second ODI at Mirpur, securing the series with one game left. 

Ireland posted 193/6 after batting first, with Amy Hunter leading the charge with 68 off 88 balls. 

Orla Prendergast added 37 runs, while Laura Delany remained unbeaten with a solid 33. 

Sultana Khatun shone with the ball for Bangladesh, claiming 2 wickets for 32 runs in her 10 overs.

Chasing 194, Bangladesh started shakily but was stabilized by a vital 85-run partnership between Sharmin Akhter (43) and Farzana Haque, who hit her second consecutive fifty (50 off 89). 

Captain Nigar Sultana added 40 runs before Swarna Akhtar sealed the victory with an unbeaten 29 off 29 balls. 

The hosts chased the target with 37 balls to spare, also earning crucial points in the ICC Women’s Championship.
