The Indian women's team secured an emphatic 8-wicket victory over the Bangladesh women's team in the Youth Asia Cup in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday. 

Bangladesh, batting first, managed to score 80 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. 

India chased down the target in just 12.1 overs, sealing the win comfortably.

After opting to bat first, Bangladesh struggled to build momentum. They got off to a modest start with an opening partnership of 27 runs. 

Fahmida Choya scored 10 runs off 14 balls, while Mosammat Eva contributed 14 runs off 19 balls. 

Following their dismissals, the innings collapsed as none of the next six batters reached double figures.

Nishita Akter Nishi and Farzana Yasmi managed to prevent a complete collapse. Nishi was dismissed for 10 runs off 17 balls, caught by Mithila, while Farzana remained unbeaten with a cautious 8 runs off 22 balls. 

Habib Islam provided a brief spark at the end, scoring 11 runs off just 4 balls. Ayushi Shukla starred with the ball for India, claiming 3 wickets for 9 runs in her 4 overs.

Bangladesh put India under early pressure during the chase. Anisha Akhter Soba dismissed opener Kamilini LBW for a duck in the second over. 

Soba struck again in the powerplay, removing Sanika Chalke for just 1 run off 9 balls. However, Gungadi Trisha turned the game in India's favor with a commanding performance.

Trisha forged a 64-run partnership off 46 balls with Nikki Prasad, effectively sealing the game. Trisha remained unbeaten on 58 runs off 45 balls, smashing 10 fours, while Prasad contributed a quick 22 runs off 15 balls. The partnership ensured India reached the target with ease.
