DHAKA: Tiger batsman-wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim has reached the milestone of 4,000 runs in longer format of cricket, after scoring 14 runs off 24 balls in the second Test against visiting West Indies Friday (Nov 30).
He was in eight-run distance from touching the milestone.
It was the first innings of Bangladesh in the second Test against the visitors, at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.
Mushfiq becomes the second Bangladeshi batsman after Tamim Iqbal to enter the elite club of 4 thousand runs.
Pacer Sherman Lewis dismissed Mushfiq after the tea-break.
