DHAKA: The High Court stayed the elections to Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) which was scheduled to take place on April 8.
The order came from an HC division on Thursday (April 4), the last date for withdrawing candidacy for the polls.
The court delivered the judgment following a case challenging one Tareq Ahmed’s candidacy for councillor post.
Mohammad Sikandar of Shishu Kishore Songho, a club for first division league, filed the lawsuit.
Now, National Sports Council will follow legal steps, said sources.
