DHAKA: South Africa have won the toss and opted to bat first against India in the 8th match of the ICC World Cup group game at Southampton on Wednesday (June 5).
India have just set out their world cup mission with the match while Proteas were defeated by England and Bangladesh in the first and fifth match of the tournament respectively.
Hashim Amla and Tabraiz Shamsi come into the playing XI, Faf du Plessis confirms, while South Africa are playing both Morris and Phehlukwayo - two allrounders. Aiden Markram sits this one out.
"It's always a cracker playing against these guys," du Plessis says of playing against India. "Nice and loud. It's a great occasion, looking forward to it."
"The crowd support is going to be massive for us… We're pretty used to the crowds wanting us to win," says Virat Kohli.
