DHAKA: South Africa have set a 228-run target for India in the 8th match of the ICC World Cup group game at Southampton on Wednesday (June 5).
After winning the toss, South Africa opted to bat first against India.
India, from the begging, have created pressure on Proteas, who lost nine wickets to score 227 runs in stipulated 50 overs.
CH Morris took the highest 42 off 34 balls, F du Plessis 38 off 54 balls, AL Phehlukwayo 34 and DA Miller earned 31 runs.
YS Chahal bagged four wickets while B Kumar and Bumrah picked up two wickets each for India.
India have just set out their world cup mission with the match while Proteas were defeated by England and Bangladesh in the first and fifth match of the tournament respectively.
Hashim Amla and Tabraiz Shamsi come into the playing XI, Faf du Plessis confirms, while South Africa are playing both Morris and Phehlukwayo - two allrounders. Aiden Markram sits this one out.
