Jewellers have revised the tariff of gold for the ninth time in April as the price of the high-quality precious yellow metal dropped by Tk 315 per bhori on Sunday (April 28) afternoon.

Good quality gold of 22-carat stood at Tk 1,12,616 per bhori (11.664 grams) due to a reduction in the price of pure gold on the local market.

The standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) came up with the decision at a meeting today reads a press release.

The price of 22-carat gold will now be Tk 9,655 per gram, 21-carat Tk 9,216 per gram, 18-carat Tk 7,900 per gram and traditional gold Tk 6,570 a gram.

The price of 22-carat silver is Tk180 per gram, Tk172 for 21-carat silver, Tk147 for 18-carat silver, and Tk110 for traditional silver.
