The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (Bajus) has reduced the price of gold by Tk 3,452 per bhori, effective from Friday.
According to the new rates, 22-carat gold is now priced at Tk 1,65,734 per bhori, down from Tk 1,69,186 on Thursday.
The price drop follows a decline in the local market rate of pure (acid) gold, Bajus said in a notification.
The updated prices show 21-carat gold now costs Tk 1,58,199 per bhori, 18-carat gold is priced at Tk 1,35,606, and traditional gold stands at Tk 1,12,033 per bhori.
However, the price of silver has remained unchanged.
