SAVAR: Ha-Meem Group becomes Asia’s best readymade garment factory this year for stitching up quality wears, a second laurel for the dressmaker after lifting last year`s best supplier award `Vender of the Year`.

VF Asia Sourcing group and VF US Sourcing and Operation Group jointly gave the best-factory award to the apparel industry owned by AK Azad, the present president of Bangladesh’s apex trade body, FBCCI.

Rana George Abraham, Bangladesh Country Director of VF Corporation, one of the largest buyer houses of the USA, handed over the award to the Board of Directors of Ha-Meem Group at the Ha-Meem Complex at Narsinghpur in Ashulia industrial belt Saturday.

Vanity Fair (VF) Corporation buys readymade garments worth 250 million dollars from Bangladesh annually. The corporation buys the garments from 113 factories around the globe, 87 of them are in Bangladesh.   

Managing Director of Ha-Meem Group AK Azad told banglanews24.com.bd that he is very happy to attain the award. "Such a success goes to all of our workers," said the successful businessman.
