DHAKA: Anarchy in the readymade garment industry ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr will be resisted at any cost, speakers  at a discussion said.

The discussion meeting between garment owners and various labour organisations at the BGMEA office at Karwan Bazar in the city also discussed payment of wages and bonus before the Eid.

BGMEA’s labour education and welfare standing committee chairman Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury chaired while Parliamentary Standing Committee chairman on Labour and Employment Ministry M Israfil Alam MP, BGMEA president Abdus Salam Murshedi and leaders of 46 labour organisations took part in the meeting.
