The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations for 2025 commenced across Bangladesh today (April 10), starting at 10:00 am.

A total of 1,490,142 students are sitting for the exams under nine general education boards, taking place in 2,291 centres across 18,084 institutions.

Among them, 701,538 are male and 788,604 are female candidates.

Under the Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board, 294,726 students have registered for the exams, including 150,893 male and 143,833 female students.

Meanwhile, 143,313 students are appearing for the exams under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board. Of them, 108,385 are male and 34,928 are female.

The written exams are scheduled to conclude on 13 May, while practical exams will be held between 15 and 22 May.
