Titumir College resumes functioning

DHAKA: Government Titumir College resumed functioning after situation became normal on Tuesday noon.

Earlier in the morning, college authority closed all viva voce examinations and classes following pressure of Chhatra League leaders and activists who have not gotten any post in the newly formed committee of the college.

Principal of the college Professor Dr Dilara Hafiz confirmed the matter to banglanews around 1:30pm.

We had halted the proceedings of the college after the requests from the post-deprived Chhatra League men but we have resumed it now as the situation improved, she added.

On Monday, Central Chhatra League announced two-member committee for the college—Kazi Mirajul Islam Dollar as president and Manik Hasan as general secretary.

Post-deprived activists started vandalism after the announcement, reported banglanews correspondent.
